SELF ADJUSTING REAL TIME CLOCK REQUIRES NO PERIODIC MAINTANENCE
Glendora, CA -- March 1, 1999 -- Mackenzie Laboratories, Inc., introduces, MAC-TAC, Large Digit, Self Adjusting Real Time Clock. Have you ever wondered, exactly what the time is, or been frustrated by having to reset clocks after a time change or power outage? Well, those days are over thanks to the MAC-TAC from Mackenzie. MAC-TAC offers automatic synchronization to the US atomic clock via WWVB or GPS. Just install, apply power, and MAC-TAC does the rest. Time changes and zones are pre-configured allowing the device to operate independently for years. MAC-TAC is entirely self-contained, no need to connect to other devices or a master clock. MAC-TAC is the turn-key solution for accurate unattended operation. With its large 3 inch red or green digits and rugged steel enclosure, MAC-TAC was specifically designed for transit and industrial applications. Large digits with high contrast offer superior visibility in transportation terminals, airports, schools, warehouses, malls or any other high traffic areas. The flexible packaging also accommodates in-vehicle applications such as busses and trains. The secret to MAC-TAC's accuracy is its synchronization to the US Atomic Clock located in Fort Collins, Colorado. Utilizing either a WWVB or GPS receiver, MAC-TAC monitors and reports time based on this universal standard. WWVB is a radio frequency on which the US Atomic Clock's data is transmitted, and is operated by the National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST). GPS(Global Positioning System) is a "constellation" of 24 well-spaced satellites that orbit the earth and is operated by the US Department of Defense. Each GPS satellite contains a computer, an atomic clock and a radio that continually broadcasts its changing position and the time. The introduction of MAC-TAC is helping Mackenzie achieve our vision: Making a Difference, One at a Time. Since 1954 Mackenzie has continued to revolutionize the information industry through the firms' Message-On-Hold, page stacker/feedback eliminator, message repeater and transportation product lines.
